A dynamic real estate investment and design-build construction company in Orange County is looking for a junior interior designer and/or interior design assistant. We specialize in custom home design and construction as well as large-scale remodeling projects in higher-end residential market. We have a unique process that tightly integrates interior design with architectural design and construction budgeting that makes the design-build process much more collaborative, efficient and cost-effective.
The key qualifications are
• Interior design degree
• ASID membership preferred
• 2-5 years of working experience
• Knowledgeable and resourceful in local market (vendor and product sourcing)
• Basic construction (read construction drawings etc.) and real estate knowledge
• Team player with a sense of project ownership
• Project management skills and experience
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and customer oriented attitude
• Familiar with software such as Chief Architect, AutoCAD, and Photoshop
• Willing to work in tight schedules on multiple projects
Responsibilities include
• Perform residential interior design projects as a part of the design-build process
• Create various sketches, drawings, and renderings
• Create FFE and spec packages
• Source vendors and products
• Site visits for install supervision
• Communicate with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders
This is a full-time salaried position in Fountain Valley. Projects are throughout Orange County. Salary commensurate with experience.
