Graceful Chinoiserie Commode by Theodore Alexander

A mahogany and lacquer chest of two drawers, the ends and two drawer fronts hand decorated in Chinoiserie scenes on figured mahogany, with finely cast brass mouldings, ring drop handles and a faux marble painted top. The original Louis XVI circa 1785 sold at auction in Paris for $14,000.
